Rocco Forte Hotels are pleased to announce the appointment of Francesca Gori as North America Director of Sales for the company, based in New York. The new position reflects the company`s growth and need for representation in the US, which accounts for around 30% of its total revenue.

Francesca is based at the offices of The Leading Hotels of the World in Manhattan. This is a fitting arrangement, given that six of the company`s seven luxury hotels - in Brussels, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Florence, Manchester and St Petersburg - are members of The Leading Hotels of the World.

Prior to her new role Francesca was based in Rome at Rocco Forte`s Hotel de Russie where she had worked since the hotel`s opening in spring 2000 as Sales Manager for the company`s two Italian hotels; the other is the Hotel Savoy in Florence. During that time she was responsible for the US market and frequently travelled to New York. Her previous experience included working at Hotel Eden in Rome (at the time one of the Exclusive Hotels by Forte) for over four years, first as Banqueting Manager and subsequently as Sales Executive. Prior to that she worked in South Africa for three years where she worked on the opening of the Grande Roche, in Paarl, a Relais & Chateaux property, followed by a period as Restaurant Manager at the Peninsula in Cape Town.

Commenting on the new role, Sir Rocco said, “It is important to be represented in a country where we have so much business and I am grateful to The Leading Hotels of the World for their assistance. It is also satisfying to be able to promote internal moves and opportunities within the company; I am sure that Francesca will continue the good work that she started when she was working with the US market from her base in Rome.”
