Staybridge Announces Two Ground Breakers

Staybridge Suites Hotels broke ground on two new hotels in the Chicago area. The new 120-room all-suite hotel in Glenview, Ill. and the 118-room all-suite hotel in Lincolnshire, Ill, will be the 58th and 59th additions to the brand’s growing portfolio of extended-stay hotels, once completed.

Representatives from Six Continents Hotels, Inc. (SCH), the owner of the Staybridge Suites brand, including SCH Americas President Stevan Porter, were in attendance at the ground-breaking ceremonies Friday, September 13, 2002.

“Six Continents Hotels is focused on the future of the Staybridge Suites brand. The Staybridge Suites brand continues to grow rapidly with nearly 50 hotels open and more than 35 in development,” said Porter. Both suburban hotels will provide easy access to major area corporations and tourist attractions. The $13 million 77, 400 square foot Glenview hotel will be located near the Prairie Glen Corporate Campus and is just minutes from other key area attractions.
