Boykin Lodging Names Finance And Real Estate Executive Shereen Jones To Top Corporate Post

Boykin Lodging Company (NYSE: BOY) today announced the appointment of Shereen P. Jones to the key position of Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Investment Officer, effective immediately. Ms. Jones will be responsible for capital raising, planning and implementation of strategic initiatives, finance, and investor relations. Ms. Jones replaces Mr. Paul A. ONeil as the Company`s Chief Financial Officer.

Ms. Jones, 40, brings more than 15 years of comprehensive financial and real estate experience to the Company. She joins Boykin from Credit Suisse First Boston in New York where she was Director and Global Head of Hospitality Investment Banking, spearheading the development of its lodging investment banking practice. Previously, she spent seven years with Lehman Brothers, serving most recently as Senior Vice President and head of its Real Estate, Lodging and Gaming Mergers & Acquisitions practice. Ms. Jones has successfully completed over $15 billion of lodging and real estate transactions, including equity and debt offerings, merger transactions and advisory assignments. Prior to joining Lehman, she was Vice President, Corporate Finance, for Oppenheimer & Co. and Kidder, Peabody & Co.

Ms. Jones earned a B.A. with Honors in Economics, magna cum laude, from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
