Chris Cope has been promoted to managing director, North American Sales for Best Western International. In his new position, Cope will be responsible for increasing North American sales revenue through Best Western Direct and managing the sales teams in the corporate and government, tour and travel segments and the Canadian sales team.

Cope’s sales experience began with Cendant Hotels in 1990. He has also held numerous positions in the areas of reservations, customer service, sales support and field sales.

Cope joined Best Western in 2000 as director of Worldwide Sales, covering the corporate and government markets and was most recently director of Best Western Direct. Cope brings valuable experience that includes key account management, field management, combined with excellent sales skills.
