Tom Johnson has been promoted to managing director and controller in charge of Treasury, Accounting and Financial Reporting for Best Western International.

Johnson’s promotion is a result of his efforts to improve Best Western’s financial operations. In 1999, Johnson aggressively reduced outstanding accounts receivable by 32 percent. In addition, his proactive tax strategies have enhanced the company’s financial status.
