Six Continents Hotels Appoints Hinchcliffe SVP Change Management

Six Continents Hotels, the world’s most global hotel company, announced today that Ed Hinchliffe has been appointed senior vice president of change management. Based in London, Hinchliffe reports directly to Thomas R. Oliver, chairman and chief executive officer of Six Continents Hotels.

Hinchliffe’s appointment strengthens the company’s process and change management capability. Although he is based in the London headquarters at North Audley Street, Hinchliffe will spend his first few months with the company in America in their Atlanta offices to support US projects.

Six Continents Hotels owns, manages or franchises leading hotel brands including Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Express by Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites in six continents around the world.

Working closely with all the key elements of the business, Hinchliffe is responsible for providing a focused and integrated approach to global processes and procedures.

Hinchliffe joins Six Continents Hotels from Interbrew where he was vice president, export operations for the last year. Prior to that he was managing director, Bass Beers Worldwide; operations director, Britvic Soft Drinks and technical director, Bass Brewers. He was also director of change for Bass Brewers and held senior strategic planning and research and development roles with the Bass Group. He has a scientific and project management background and brings experience and insight to his new role at Six Continents Hotels.
