Marriott Opens 3rd Hotel In Brussels

Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) announced the opening of the first Marriott brand hotel in Brussels. The 218-room Brussels Marriott Hotel is the company’s third hotel in the city. The Renaissance Brussels Hotel and the European Quarter Marriott Executive Apartments joined the Marriott International system last year.
Owned by Renthotel Brussels S.A., a City Hotels Group Company, the property is located in central Brussels on Place de la Bourse, opposite the Brussels Stock Exchange and within a short walking distance of the historic center of the city. Roland Ulmer is the general manager.
The Brussels Marriott Hotel is offering a special opening rate of 149 Euros without breakfast on the weekdays and 119 Euros including breakfast on the weekends through February 2003.
Guest room amenities at the Brussels Marriott Hotel include work desk, voice mail, satellite TV, mini bar, trouser press, hair dryer and bathrobe. The hotel also has complimentary coffee in the lobby, laundry services, childcare services, concierge, complimentary newspaper, health club, sauna and a full business center.
For dining and entertainment, there is the Brasserie restaurant serving le sauvior international food and a lobby lounge called Bar la Senne. In addition, the hotel offers 24-hour room service.
For meetings and social events, the hotel has a 3,875-square-foot ballroom, four meeting rooms and a 20-square-foot boardroom.
Advance reservations can be made by contacting a travel agent or calling toll free in local markets. Marriott-appointed general sales agents and the local Marriott Global Sales Office can also provide assistance and additional information.
