New Appointments At The Peninsula Hong Kong

Mr Peter C Borer, Group General Manager (Asia) of The Peninsula Hong Kong is pleased to announce the appointments of Mr Arthur Kiong as Director of Marketing, Mr Stanley Tan as Director of Business Development, Ms Susanna Yau as Director of Human Resources, Ms Lily Huynh as Executive Housekeeper, Ms Alice Chan as Front Office Manager and Mr Ricky Lam as Director of Food & Beverage.

Arthur Kiong - Director of Marketing

A Singaporean national, Arthur Kiong has a wealth of marketing experience both in Asia and the United States. Before joining The Peninsula Hong Kong, he was Area Director, Marketing responsible for six Ritz-Carlton hotels in New York, Washington DC and Boston. Prior to that, Mr Kiong was the Director of Sales & Marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, Millennia Singapore.

Stanley Tan - Director of Business Development

Hailing from Singapore, Tan spent two years at Okazaki New Grand Hotel and Nagoya Hilton Hotel in Japan. Prior to joining The Peninsula in April 2002 as Director of Business Development, Tan worked at The Ritz Carlton, Millennia Singapore for six years, where his last position was Director of Sales.
Susanna Yau - Director of Human Resources

Hong Kong national Susanna Yau started her human resources career with Mandarin Oriental before joining The Peninsula Group in 1999 as Director of Human Resources with The Palace Hotel Beijing. After spending three years in The Peninsula`s sister hotel in China, Ms Yau was transferred in January 2002 to the same position with The Peninsula Hong Kong.
Lily Huynh - Executive Housekeeper

Born in Vietnam, Lily Huynh moved to Canada where she was raised and educated. Huynh graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality & Tourism from Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto. Huynh came to Hong Kong in 1995 and joined The Peninsula as Assistant Housekeeper and was then promoted to Assistant Executive Housekeeper in 1997 before taking up her new responsibility as Executive Housekeeper on 1 May 2002.
Alice Chan - Front Office Manager

From Hong Kong, Alice Chan graduated in 1994 from the University of Massachusetts, with a Degree in Hotel Management. She joined The Peninsula in 1995 as a Front Desk Agent and was then promoted to Customer Services Manager in 1998 in charge of Peninsula Priorities, The Peninsula Group`s loyalty programme. Two years later, Ms Chan re-joined the Front Office team as Assistant Front Office Manager before being promoted to her current position as Front Office Manager in Jan 2002.
Ricky Lam - Director of Food & Beverage

Mr Ricky Lam started his Food & Beverage career with The Peninsula Hong Kong in 1984. After spending several years at The Verandah, he was away for a short while before returning to The Peninsula where he worked for another six years and was promoted to Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. Mr Lam then spent the following two years gaining working experience in China. In 2000, he returned once again to The Peninsula as Food & Beverage Manager before being promoted as Director of Food & Beverage in August 2002.
