A Conference Centre of the Future

12th Sep 2002

The Egerkingen Mövenpick Hotel, with its
multifunctional Conference Centre equipped with
rooms accommodating up to 300 people, is offering
new dimensions in the world of seminars.
The Conference Centre, with its seven rooms of varying layout,
each fitted with state-of-the-art technology, is amply able to meet
all requirements demanded by modern event organisers: video
beamers and huge screens, soundproofed walls and power
connections exactly where they are needed. A specially-designed
“Welcome Desk” sees to the needs and wishes of all organisers
and participants and offers them backup to ensure the smooth
and successful running of all schedules.
The colour schemes, materials and décor create a wonderfully
inspiring ambience and are not at all reminiscent of the hectic
seminar and conference atmosphere found in the usual business
hotels. Wood, natural stone and modern textiles, together with a
unique colour scheme of delicate pastel shades merging into
deep blues, convey an atmosphere of well-being. Enjoyment,
communication, pleasure, success, motivation and satisfaction
were the important mosaic stones that went into the planning and
building of this conference oasis. The result is “a design of
architecture for the senses” exuding reviving fragrances, soft
music and with ergonomic furniture, which all together further
creativity while at the same time offering plenty of opportunity for
relaxation and recuperation in quiet surroundings. As well as
boasting an oriental garden, the Centre is also equipped with a
special quiet area, whose calming décor of pale colours and
features such as comfortable meditation cushions enable every
seminar participant to unwind in a matter of minutes.
Interesting coffee breaks, unusual entertainment, culinary
expertise in the restaurants, bars and cafés together with 138
modern rooms each with a study area complete the picture.
The ideal location of the Egerkingen Mövenpick Hotel on the
edge of the forest in beautiful greenery and yet only 5 minutes
away from the Egerkingen motorway exit (motorway intersection
A1/A2) means that the Panopticum Conference Centre is the
perfect venue. There are 150 parking spaces available, at a
minimal charge, and a shuttle service is on hand for those guests
using public transport - all factors making it so simple to reach
the hotel.
