M&C Gets Into `Bed` With Loch Fyne

Millennium Hotels and Resorts is to become the first hotel group in the UK to create joint branded menus with Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd. The Loch Fyne menu will be sold exclusively at two of the group’s restaurants, The Brasserie on George Square at the Millennium Hotel Glasgow and Lion D’Or at the Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick.
The new à la carte menus are varied and innovative, using the best of Scottish produce - truly reflecting the ‘Taste of Scotland’ and displaying the best of Loch Fyne’s produce, including smoked seafood and shellfish.
The Loch Fyne Menu will be available at lunch and dinner and includes a variety of dishes, featuring Loch Fyne Classic Smoked Salmon, Hand Divided Loch Fyne Scallops and platters of Rock Oysters.
Prices will range from £4.25 for three oysters to £18 for the Taste of Loch Fyne - a platter featuring all that abounds from the rivers around Scotland, including sea scallops, langoustines, mussels, oyster, butter clams, and Bradan Rost (kiln roasted) salmon.
Commenting on this exciting development for the group, Stephen Price, Regional General Manger, Millennium Hotels and Resorts said: ‘We are privileged to be working with Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd. It is a prestigious and well-respected company, earning its reputation over many years to become the best in its field. We are delighted to be the first Hotel Group to work with them to create a truly unique menu within our own restaurants and look forward to welcoming local people as well as guests of the hotel to try the best that Scotland has to offer.’
Virginia Sumsion, Marketing Manager of Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd said: ‘It is very encouraging when a large hotel group such as Millennium Hotels and Resorts recognises the value of the reputation we have been striving to build - high quality locally produced food based on sustainable sources. It will provide our many supporters throughout the UK with more opportunities to dine out on Loch Fyne produce on a regular basis.’
