Thistle Hotels has appointed Beverly King as general manager of the Thistle Marble Arch Hotel.

King joins from the Cumberland Hotel where he also held the position of general manager and replaces John Acton, who now manages the Thistle Kensington Park and Thistle Kensington Palace Hotels.

Commenting on the new appointment Alex Stuart, director of operations for London for Thistle Hotels: “We are delighted to have Beverly on board with us with his extensive experience and knowledge of running large hotel operations.”

Previous experience also includes Le Meridien Dona Filipa and San Lorenzo Golf Course and Le Meridien Penina, both on the Algarve, The Strand Palace Hotel and Gardner Merchant UK Limited.

The Thistle Marble Arch offers 692 bedrooms, 18 meeting rooms, a restaurant, Gym and a Co-Motion Brew shop Cafe.
