THOMAS, U.S.V.I., Aug 29, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE)—The all-inclusive Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa in St. Thomas has introduced a series of all-inclusive destination spa packages, as well as day packages, designed to showcase the resort`s most recent stylish addition—the $1.5 million Journeys Spa, which opened last month. As the newest and largest full-service spa in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the two-level facility is the first spa in the U.S.V.I. to offer hydrotherapy treatments.

The resort`s all-inclusive destination spa menu promises guests a world of tranquility and reflection. For stays of three or four nights, guests enjoy two Journeys Spa Signature Experiences (each includes a choice of 25-minute Dead Sea Salt Glow, Marine Body Polish or Nori Algae Wrap; choice of Journeys Signature Facial, Deluxe facial or Gentleman`s Facial; and a choice of 50-minute Swedish, Deep Tissue, Stress Relief, Acu-Roma or Journeys Signature Massage); plus accommodations, daily breakfast, lunch and dinner; unlimited wine, champagne and premium-brand bar drinks during bar hours; nightly entertainment; all non-motorized water sports, use of snorkel equipment and beach volleyball; unlimited use of the fitness center and Jacuzzi; participation in the daily activity program; taxes and gratuities.

Stays of five or six nights include all the elements above, plus two Caribbean Journey Hydrotherapy treatments. Seven or more night stays include all the elements included in the three-night offer, plus a choice of two services from either a Caribbean Journey Hydrotherapy treatment or a Journeys “Beach Stone” Massage.

Through Dec. 20, 2002, four-day/three-night all-inclusive prices start at $924 per person, based on double occupancy. Packages are commissionable to qualified travel agents at 10 percent.

Among the spa`s unique massage services are the Journeys “Beach Stone” Massage, which combines the use of hot and cold stones from river and lava beds, as well as those from the resort`s own beach, with massage to relieve aching muscles, and improve circulation and lymphatic drainage; and the Journeys Signature Massage, a firmer healing massage made more therapeutic with the use of 100 percent pure Laminaria oil along with the aromatic essential oil of guests` choice.
Unique body treatments include the Marine Body Polish, ideal for even the most sensitive skin, combining gentle marine diatoms with guests` choice of essential oils to gently exfoliate the skin; and the Soothing Nori & Algae Gel Wrap, for those who may have had a little too much fun in the sun, this treatment combines rich red seaweed and algae gel to soothe, cool and re-hydrate the skin.


Journeys Spa celebrates “the return of the bath” with its therapeutic and relaxing hydrotherapy services, including the Caribbean Journey, a soothing and exotic bath of milky coconut infused with pineapple and vitality aromatic essence that offers guests the added luxury of a non-alcoholic Pina Colada beverage during the treatment; and the Cleopatra & Anthony Journey, an all-encompassing bath experience that combines the aromatic essences of ylang ylang, sandalwood, jasmine and cedar.


Available to resort guests and island residents, Journeys Spa day packages are designed to provide guests with a few hours of heaven on earth.
