Carlson Companies named `Great Place to Work`

MINNEAPOLIS (August, 2002) - Carlson Companies is among 19 Twin Cities businesses selected as Great Places to Work by The Business Journal. The announcement was made in today`s edition.


According to The Business Journal, the values and programs described in Carlson`s profile will assist many other Minnesota businesses in fostering a positive work environment and creating innovative benefit packages.


The publication surveyed more than 500 public and private companies and nonprofit organizations for the 2002 list. The survey asked questions relating to benefit packages, compensation and rewards, and sought comments from employees.


Among Carlson`s benefits are on-site daycare, domestic partner benefits, adoption assistance and flexible work schedules.


“Our benefits and programs help colleagues balance their work and family lives, and demonstrate that we care about our people,” said Rosalyn Mallet, Carlson Companies` senior vice president of human resources. “Creating a great place to work that values the whole person is essential to our success at Carlson.”

This is the third “great places to work” honor Carlson Companies has received over the past year. The company also has been recognized by Fortune and Working Mother magazines as one of the 100 best places to work for in America.
