A new Comfort Suites hotel at 7200 Fun Center Way celebrated its grand opening last week with a Cat 5 cable cutting, which is the cable used to supply the hotel with high-speed Internet access. More than 170 people attended the ceremony including Choice Hotels International representatives, Tukwila civic leaders and Tukwila Chamber of Commerce president Nancy Damon. Prize drawings, tours of the hotel and refreshments were included in the festivities.
The four-story hotel, owned and operated by H2 Hotel LLC of Tukwila, Wash., features 138 suites with king- or queen-size Serta Perfect Sleeper beds. All suites are equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, separate living room area with pullout sofabed, 27-inch remote-control cable television with HBO, large work desk with ergonomic chair, high-speed Internet access, cordless phone and voicemail. Some suites feature a whirlpool tub. Handicapped and non-smoking suites are available.
Hotel features include a heated indoor pool and spa; meeting room that can accommodate up to 100 people and two conference rooms; business center equipped with a computer with high-speed Internet access, printer, facsimile machine and copier; breakfast area that seats up to 50 individuals and features a wide screen television; exercise facility with cardiovascular equipment; guest laundry services; and catering services.

Room rates begin at $98. Children, ages 18 and under, stay free when accompanied by an adult.
Discounts are available when booked in advance for seniors, American Automobile Association members, government and military personnel, business travelers and groups.
The Comfort Suites hotel is located off of U.S. Interstate 405 and adjacent to Family Fun Center, an eight-acre amusement park. Several popular attractions are within 10 miles of the hotel including the Seattle Waterfront, Seattle Space Needle, Seahawk Stadium and Pioneer Square.
