The provincial mediator will be bringing the
parties (Union and management of the Sheraton Centre, Toronto Hilton and Delta
Chelsea) together on Thursday, August 8, 2002 at 10 am.

President Paul Clifford of the Hotel Employees, Restaurant Employees
International Union (HERE), Local 75 stated, “Because of the sensitivity of
the situation in collective bargaining, we are making no further comment at
this time. We look forward to collective bargaining on Thursday and will
attempt to resolve the outstanding issues and get a fair collective
agreement.”
