(San Francisco, CA)—- Last year, The Pan Pacific San Francisco opened the hotel`s doors for a round of successful school field trips. In an effort to educate children about the nuances of the hospitality industry as well as to provide insight to the workings of a multi-million dollar business, the hotel is welcoming inquiries for the 2002/03 school season from interested Bay Area schools.
The “behind the scenes” tour starts with a brief history of The Pan Pacific before the class wends their way through the property to learn about everything from human resources, room service, the concierge function, reservations and communications to personal butler service, operating a hotel kitchen, sales and marketing and pillow manufacturing. The finale is a buffet style lunch set up in one of the hotel`s conference rooms, where the children are invited to enjoy a leisurely meal while they ask additional questions about the hospitality industry.
Schools interested in exploring this free opportunity should contact Director of Sales and Marketing Geraldine Korss at (415) 929-2047 or [email protected].
