Parsippany, NJ 07-02-2002—Cendant Corporation`s hotel group today announced it has signed an agreement with American Express Travel Services.

Cendant and its participating Super 8®, Days Inn®, Ramada®, Travelodge®, Howard Johnson®, Knights Inn®, Villager, Wingate Inn® and AmeriHost Inn® franchised hotels will join the American Express Travel Worldwide Select Hotel Program, gain access to all American Express business and leisure travel offices in the United States and have the privilege of offering incentives and familiarization trips to its travel counselors.

Cendant`s hotel group additionally will receive exposure at select American Express client and employee business meetings and through American Express` advertising and publications. Participating Cendant hotels also will have the opportunity to contribute stories to American Express publications, read by its travel agencies.
