Choice Hotels International Names Michael Ludden Senior Director Of The Clarion Brand

Silver Spring, Md. (June, 2002) - Worldwide lodging franchisor Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH) has appointed Michael Ludden senior director of the Clarion brand.


In his new role, Ludden is responsible for the strategic direction of the Clarion brand including brand positioning and expansion, marketing strategies, brand operation standards, communicating with franchisees and brand financial analysis.


Ludden began his career at Choice in 1992 and during his tenure served as new property service director and quality assurance director. He recently held the position of franchise services director, overseeing 49 Choice brand properties in the Northwest.


Prior to joining Choice, Ludden worked at various hotel chains and is a 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry.


“Michael`s operational background is just what this new team needs,” said Thom Hall, vice president, brand management and strategies and the Choice executive to whom Ludden reports. “He has built strong relationships with many of our franchisees and he knows what they want and need.”
