Construction on Florida’s fifth Candlewood Suites has begun in Lake Mary. Expected to open in early 2003, the hotel is owned and managed by The Generation Companies, LLC, under a license agreement with Candlewood Hotel Company.
ATMI Design Build is overseeing the construction of the hotel, which is located at the southeast corner of I-4 and Lake Mary Blvd., approximately 10 miles north of downtown Orlando. The new hotel will feature 122 suites: 87 studios, 24 one-bedroom and 11 doubles. Candlewood Suites offers larger-than-average guest suites that cater to the special needs of long-term guests, including a complete kitchen with full-sized appliances, 25-inch TV, large business desk, adjustable executive chair, two phone lines with data port and low-cost long distance.
In addition, guests have access to free laundry facilities, free video and CD library and access to the Candlewood Cupboard - a 24-hour honor-based pantry with food and sundries at grocery store prices.
