Crowne Plaza Sponsors NAFE`s National Annual Conference

Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts, the official hotel sponsor of the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), will host NAFE`s 30th Anniversary Annual Conference at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan Hotel. More then 600 women are expected to attend the conference, which will be held May 31-June 1, 2002.

This year`s conference theme, Women @Work, celebrates 30 years of NAFE, the largest women’s professional association and women business owners’ organization in the country. Crowne Plaza sponsors NAFE through support of this event and through special member benefits such as the Passport to Privilege program, which offers NAFE members a choice of one of the following per stay at Crowne Plaza properties: complimentary room upgrades, continental breakfast, in-room movie, local calls or fax services.

“Our relationship with NAFE is just one example of Crowne Plaza`s ongoing and increasing efforts directed toward the female business traveler,” said Allison Cripps, director of marketing planning for Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts. “Female business travelers book more than 40 percent of room nights for our brand. We believe it’s important to partner with organizations that focus on, recognize the contributions of and provide opportunities for working women,” Cripps continued.

To better meet the needs of female travelers, Crowne Plaza developed a women`s travel advisory council whose members provide insight and guidance on women`s initiatives and programs. NAFE’s executive director, Melissa Wahl, serves on the committee. In addition to its support of NAFE, the Crowne Plaza brand sponsors the Business Women`s Network, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and LPGA tour professional Liselotte Neumann.
