CHICAGO—The much anticipated opening of the Mid-Atlantic`s newest luxury resort is slated for August 29th, 2002. The 400-room Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina will be the first full-service luxury resort on Maryland`s Eastern Shore.

Located on the Choptank River, Cambridge is known for its historic buildings and maritime heritage. Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina will continue the rich history of the area and fit seamlessly into the environment drawing upon the diverse ecology and recreational opportunities that Maryland`s Eastern Shore offers.

The Golf Club at River Marsh

The 18-hole championship golf course designed by Keith Foster, who is renowned for his design of the Southern Hills, the site of the 2001 U.S. Open. The course easily accommodates players of all skill levels, due in part to the placement of multiple tee boxes on each hole. River Marsh`s large greens were shaped to provide maximum variety and an enjoyable game for both the seasoned and occasional golfer. The 18th hole is truly spectacular, as the pin placement is just a few feet from the scenic Choptank River and tucked behind the greenside bunker. Resort guests will have a chance to experience the thrill of playing one of the finest finishing holes in golf.

For the stylish golfers, a full-service golf pro shop featuring men`s and women`s golf apparel, equipment and accessories. Golfers can then fine-tune their game at the full service practice area, including a driving range, short game area and expansive putting green. Private and group lessons are available with instructions from PGA professionals.

The traditional 19th hole will meet the needs of the hungry player. The Eagle`s Nest Bar and Grill has a spectacular golf course view where guests can enjoy great sandwiches, burgers and gourmet salads with their favorite 19th hole cocktail.

The Marina at River Marsh

A focal point of the resort, the 150- slip Marina at River Marsh offers guests a variety of activities including sailing lessons, canoe and kayak rentals, sunset dinner cruises, waverunner rentals and fishing expeditions.

Guests who choose to dock their boats at the marina will enjoy guest privileges throughout the resort. The Marina Store is located on the shore, at the base of the dock and offers boating accessories, clothing and light snacks. The Marina Concierge is available to guests daily to assist with a cruise on the Dorothy Megan, an authentic 80-foot turn of the century paddlewheel or a day with a local waterman catching crabs on a work boat.

Stillwater Spa

A perfect place to unwind, the 18,000 square foot Stillwater Spa at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort is the most comprehensive European-style spa and treatment center on the Eastern Shore. From the soothing color scheme to the layout of the treatment rooms, every aspect of the spa has been designed to evoke a sense of serenity and restoration of the mind, body and soul. The Spa offers 14 wet and dry treatment rooms, many with their own private relaxation patios, separate men`s and women`s locker areas with steam room, saunas, Swiss showers and relaxation rooms.

The Spa menu features traditional treatments as well as several unique experiences including Thai Massage, and treatments utilizing seaweed and clay. In keeping in theme with Spa Hyatt, the spa will feature several treatments using local products from the Chesapeake area.

At the Stillwater Salon, guests can pamper themselves with manicures and pedicures, hair styling and color treatments as well as makeup and facial applications.
