Louis Vanhuesden, General Manager of the Millennium Hotel Paris Opéra has been given a countrywide brief to become the first ever Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ General Manager for France.
Louis will continue to be responsible for the group’s property in central Paris and will now also co-ordinate and supervise the complete operations of the Copthorne Hotel Paris Charles de Gaulle and the Copthorne Hotel Coquelles Calais. Thierry Alexandri and Orla Thomas, General Managers of the respective hotels will report directly to Louis.

This new position allows the three properties to streamline their sales and marketing activities by developing new sales initiatives across the region.

With a long and distinguished career in the hotel industry, Louis has now been responsible for the Millennium Hotel Paris Opéra for two years. He joined Millennium Hotels and Resorts from his position of General Manager of the Golden Tulip Hotel in his native Brussels.

After graduating from the Ecole H™telière de Laussane he began his career at Eurotel and has since worked for Ramada, Intercontinental and Swiss International Hotels. From 1988 - 1998, Louis worked with Millennium Hotels and Resorts, firstly as Front of House Manager at the Copthorne - Stephanie House Hotel in Brussels, then as General Manager of the Copthorne Hotel Plymouth. He also became resident General Manager of the Millennium Bailey’s Hotel London Kensington and the Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington.
