ResortQuest Promotes Chief Operating Officer James Olin to Additional Role of President

ResortQuest International, Inc. (NYSE: RZT), the world`s largest vacation rental property management company, today announced that Chief Operating Officer James Olin has been promoted to the additional role of President of the Company, effective immediately.
“I am very pleased to promote Jim Olin to President of ResortQuest and feel this promotion is reflective of the outstanding work Jim has done, especially over the last year as he played an integral role in reorganizing the infrastructure of our company”, said David Levine, chairman and chief executive officer of ResortQuest International. “We continue to feel that the strength of our overall company and our management team have placed ResortQuest in position to continue to grow our brand, garner greater market share, provide better service to our guests and homeowners, and ultimately drive shareholder value.”
Mr. Olin is responsible for overseeing the company`s more than 50 vacation rental and real estate locations across North America, as well as further integrating and enhancing the company`s operations. He was formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of Abbott Resorts, Inc., one of ResortQuest`s largest operations, from 1992 to January 2000. During his tenure, the Company grew from 900 units to over 2,500 units managed, and real estate sales went from approximately $30 million to over $250 million.

Mr. Olin has served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Directors of Columbia/Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, and has served on several governor-appointed task forces in the state of Florida. He is a member of the national Vacation Rental Manager`s Association and was a founding board member of the Florida Vacation Rental Manager`s Association. He received his bachelor`s degree from Florida International University in Miami in 1982 and his master`s degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee in 1984.
