Delta Hotels announced today that it has entered into a management agreement with the Bands of the Ktunaxa/Kinbasket Tribal Council to manage a 125-room resort and championship golf course in Cranbrook, British Columbia which will be called, Delta St. Eugene Mission Resort.

“Nestled in the majestic B.C. Rockies on the banks of the St. Mary River, this spectacular new resort is a welcome addition to the Delta family of hotels,” said John Johnston, President of Delta Hotels. “This property strengthens our overall resort presence in Western Canada, a perfect complement to our established resorts in Victoria, Whistler and Kananaskis,” says Johnston.
This full-service resort will feature 125 guest rooms in the historic St. Eugene Mission and connecting new lodge building, an 18-hole full facility championship golf course, 4,000 square feet of meeting space and a recreation complex. The initial phase is scheduled to open in July 2002. The recreation complex will house health club facilities, which include swim in-swim out pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room and exercise facility.

The St. Eugene Mission Golf Course, which has been fully operational for two golf seasons, was named the Third Best New Golf Course in Canada in 2001, by Golf Digest magazine. The course also includes a driving range, full-service pro shop, dining and lounge area and will be open for the 2002 golf season on April 12, 2002.

Adjacent to the hotel will be the Casino of the Rockies, operated by Lake City Casinos in conjunction with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.
