March opening for Le Meridien Munich


Le MÌ©ridien Munich will open on March 15 and will be Le MÌ©ridienå‘s sixth hotel in Germany. The 381-bedroom Le MÌ©ridien Munich will be the first new five-star hotel to open in Munich for 15 years and the first hotel in Germany to guarantee a 42-inch flat screen plasma TV in every bedroom.

Situated in the heart of the city, opposite the main railway station, the hotel is ideally located for business or leisure. Access to the main business centres is ten minutes away by Metro and the fashionable shopping areas are just a five-minute walk from the hotel. The fairground of ICM is a short direct train ride from the main railway station.

Commenting on the new opening, Malcolm Ross, Le Méridien’s regional managing director for Continental Europe said: “This is a very positive step forward and part of our aggressive expansion plans for Continental Europe.
“The hotel has a very distinctive yellow and grey exterior design and the elegant interior, designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, provides a relaxed atmosphere in the public areas, which are built around an internal courtyard.”

Le Méridien Munich provides state-of-the-art technology. All 381 rooms and suites have high-speed Internet access, 2/3 telephones, a 42 inch plasma screen multi TV system, air-conditioning, in-room safe, superior bathroom with Hermès amenities and separate shower and bath tub.

The conference and meetings market has a choice of 10 meeting rooms all with natural light accommodating up to 250 people. Each meeting room is air-conditioned and has Internet access. The Ballroom has street access making it perfect for all types of exhibitions.
