Meenaz Lilani moves to Le Meridien


Le MÌ©ridien has appointed Meenaz Lilani as vice president of sales and marketing for Continental Europe. She replaces John Ryan, who has been promoted to senior vice president å- sales worldwide.

Based at Le Méridien’s worldwide head office in London, Lilani will report to Continental Europe regional managing director, Malcolm Ross and be responsible for spearheading the sales and marketing activity for Le Méridien’s 41 Continental European hotels and resorts in 19 countries.

Lilani brings to her new role over 16-years experience in the hotel industry. Immediately prior to joining Le Méridien she was area director of sales and marketing UK & Ireland for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. She also spent 10 years in various sales and marketing positions with Forte Hotels.

Le Méridien is a global hotel group with a portfolio of 144 luxury and upscale hotels in 55 countries. The majority of its properties are located in the world’s top cities and resorts throughout Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. Headquartered in London, the group was purchased by Nomura International plc’s Principal Finance Group in July 2001 and merged with Principal Hotels, acquired by Nomura in February 2001.
