Amadeus Reports Rapid Adoption of Complete Access Plus

An increasing number of car rental companies are
adopting Amadeus` enhanced booking solution, Complete Access Plus, as
travellers and travel agents look for straightforward pricing systems to
help them shop for the best value.

Less than six months after the launch of Complete Access Plus with estimated
total pricing (i.e. base rate of rental plus all taxes and mandatory
charges) Advantage, Alamo, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, National and Thrifty
have signed agreements with Amadeus to provide travel agencies with full
pricing transparency. These companies, together with Avis and Sixt, who
already use Complete Access Plus to distribute their cars, represent 93.5
per cent of all car reservations made through the Amadeus
system. Since
implementing the solution in the second half of 2002, both Avis and Sixt
have registered above average business growth through Amadeus.

“For many years Hertz has given travellers and travel agents complete
estimated pricing through our proprietary reservation system,” said Brian
Kennedy, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales for Hertz. “We are
pleased that we can now also display full pricing through Amadeus. With
Complete Access Plus, customers will be able to search for and fully price a
rental car, directly from the Hertz database, before booking a rental.”

International Reservation and Data Director for Europcar, Anne-Marie Dalon,
added, “With Complete Access Plus, what the customer sees is what they get
and pay for. This benefits both the travel agent and the car rental company,
as we can ensure our customers are satisfied with what they purchase.”

“The rapid adoption of Complete Access Plus is proof that Amadeus has the
right technology to ensure customers` success”, said Stephane Durand,
Director, Travel Services Partners at Amadeus. “In particular, travel agents
are now in an even better position to sell car rentals to their leisure
customers, offering them the most competitive pricing while securing higher
commission on these types of rates”.

list of available providers later in 2003.
