More than 400 guests flocked to the
annual awards ceremony at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club last weekend—to honour UAE travel agents and enjoy entertainment from acclaimed Indian singer Sunidhi Chauhan and her dancers.
Representatives from 50 UAE agencies received awards recognising their productivity and for their ongoing contribution and support. Abu Dhabi and Al Ain agents, including senior management also attended.
Dermot Mannion, Emirates’ Chief Director, Finance IT & Services, and Charles DeSilva, Galileo International’s Director Middle East & Africa, presented the awards. Executives from Emirates and Galileo International came along as well to show appreciation to agents.
Dubai-based Galileo Emirates, a division of the Emirates group, is the National Distribution Company for Galileo’s Global Distribution System for the UAE, Gulf, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Morocco and Tunisia.
It has supplied travel automation to its agency partners for more than 15 years. Always innovative, it is determined to keep ahead of rivals and abreast of advances in technology, and constantly updates its products to help agencies improve customer service.
Naz Nizari, General Manager Galileo Emirates said: “Our commitment to customers is paramount. We feel immense pride in the partnerships we’ve created over the years, even before Galileo was founded.
“Our first offering to customers was the DMARS Direct Multi Access Reservation System, and we are pleased that we`ve made such great strides ever since. The evening was our way of showing that we really do appreciate our agency customers.”
Naz thanked event management company L`Attitude for organising the entertainment, and the
and SeaShell Inn for accommodating the entertainers.
