(R), the Name Your Own Price(sm) Internet travel service, said today that it has obtained agreements from several of its major airline partners to make even deeper ticket discounts available to customers who make their reservations now for trips in December and January.
The discounts are on top of the airlines` advertised prices for U.S. and international flights. Customers can achieve maximum savings (up to 40% or more over published prices) by traveling on priceline.com`s designated “best days to fly,” which are those days when airports are less crowded and airlines still have empty seats to fill.
According to priceline.com, the best days to fly in December are the 4th through the 20th, the 22nd through the 25th, the 27th, and the 30th and 31st. In January, the best days to fly are the 1st through the 3rd, and anytime after the 5th.
Priceline.com`s best-days-to-fly calendar is posted on the Web site and is updated as availability changes. For best availability and savings, priceline.com recommends that travelers book their trips as soon as possible. Priceline.com also has Name Your Own Price(sm) hotel rooms and rental cars available for the same periods.
“Whether you need to fly home for the holidays or want to relieve December`s stress with an early 2003 vacation, priceline.com can get you there on the cheap,” said Tim Gordon, priceline.com Senior Vice President, Travel. “Look around for the best price you can find. Then come to priceline.com and make an even lower offer.”
Priceline.com prices include applicable taxes, a $5.95 priceline.com ticket processing fee, and are rounded to the nearest dollar.
