United Airlines launches Personalised Online Newsletter

United airlines
has launched a new personalised and
targeted electronic communication for its Mileage Plus members in the
UK called My Mileage Plus. 
My Mileage Plus is an electronic newsletter
which includes personalised member account information and mileage
activity, programme information and United and Mileage Plus special
offers. 


The UK market is one of the first outside the US to benefit from My
Mileage Plus.  To receive it, members must subscribe by registering
their e-mail address at united.com/updateprofile and selecting “Mileage
Plus Communications”.  They will then receive account updates and
information electronically every other month, as well as regular
printed communication.


“This new communications tool gives our members the opportunity to
receive timely information from their PC and will also ensure they are
aware of the latest programme, travel offers and product changes at
United,”  said Brandon O`Reilly, United Airlines UK and Ireland General
Manager. “This development is yet another way in which we are meeting
the needs of our customers.”


With over 40 million enrolled members, Mileage Plus has been voted the
number one frequent flyer programme by readers of Business Traveler for
six years running.
