Signs Deal for Customers to Park and Fly

29th Oct 2002, online provider of travel and leisure solutions, has
teamed up with BCP, the UK`s leading airport car parking booking
service, to automatically offer UK customers airport car parking when
they purchase flights and holidays online.

This one-stop-shop arrangement between

and BCP is the
only one of its kind ever signed by an online travel and leisure
provider and a national car parking organisation. Currently, other
online travel sites in the UK offer car parking facilities through
providing links from their website and none have yet developed a
shopping basket concept similar to`s where you will be
able to add the car parking during the booking process.

Matt Gower, Head of Commercial UK at, said, “The
unique and most exciting thing about this service is that our
customers do not need to spend time calculating the cost of car
parking or booking a space separately as it is all done for them
during the flight or holiday booking process. It is by far the
easiest and most convenient option for customers who choose to travel
to their departure airport by car.

“In addition, by pre-booking car spaces through the site customers
can save substantially on the car park gate price, up to 60% in the
case of parking at Heathrow. On top of these benefits for customers
the deal will add another innovative revenue stream to`s customer offering.”

The online service will offer availability at all of BCP`s 19 airport
car parking facilities across the UK and will include airport car
parking plus BCP`s Meet and Greet Parking Service, Airport Executive
Lounges and chauffeur service, ChauffeurDrive Express.

The deal between and BCP comes at a time when the
demand for pre-booked car spaces is growing steadily. On average
across the UK some 25% of airport car parking is pre-booked, rising
to as high as 50% at some airports.

Commenting on the partnership, Stephen Moss, Managing Director of BCP
said, “We are extremely excited about the way we are working with The fact that our services will be offered
automatically to the UK customers who book online with
will give us access to a whole new marketplace.”
