The Points International team launched the Asia Miles solutions with a technology development phase of under 30 days, using Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE). “The new enhanced J2EE technology simplifies our architecture and shortens the development lifecycle,” said MacLean. “We can now launch Points Solutions faster, with enhanced power to adapt to changes in the operating environment.”
Through pointsxchange, Asia Miles members in North America can consolidate other loyalty program currencies into Asia Miles, or exchange their Asia Miles for the currencies of other loyalty programs. Asia Miles joins over 28 pointsxchange partners, including Air Canada, American Airlines, Six Continents Hotels, Alaska Airlines, America West Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Midwest Express Airlines, Sprint, Esso Extra, FTD.COM and GiftCertificates.com.
