also provides customers with detailed shipment tracking for single or multiple bookings, as well as the ability to provide airway bill status reports.

“With the introduction of deltacargo.com and our preparation to join Global Freight Exchange, Delta Air Logistics is well-positioned to offer our customers a variety of booking solutions that best fit their particular needs,” said Tony Charaf, senior vice president - Delta Air Logistics. “By offering our customers a choice in how they interact with us, we continue to tailor our booking channels for maximum customer benefit.”

The benefits of deltacargo.com include a user-friendly interface featuring a simple five-step process that provides the speed and ease customers want in booking shipments, as well as the ability to view available flights based on the customer’s cargo weight and volume. In addition, deltacargo.com provides any customer with detailed tracking from drop-off to pick-up on a single air waybill and registered customers the ability to track their shipments over a 30-day period by origin, destination, date range or any combination of the three. Access to a shipment status report also allows registered customers to pull multiple air waybills for download into an Excel spreadsheet.
“Deltacargo.com allows us to offer these services to our customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Gary Swanson, managing director - sales and marketing, Delta Air Logistics. “With this new tool handling more of our routine transactions, our customer service call center is better positioned to handle those customer calls that are more complex in nature.”

To utilize the domestic booking and multiple air waybill tracking and reporting enhancements on deltacargo.com, each online customer will be instructed how to register prior to making any bookings and must also be a verified “known” shipper per Transportation Security Administration guidelines.
