VEGAS.com also ranked highest in page views among all city sites, beating out New York Citysearch, Los Angeles Citysearch, Hawaii.com, Florida.com and others. The report by comScore Media Metrix analyzed site traffic among Vegas-oriented sites, national and international city sites and all of the largest national e-commerce sites for travel.

One of the few profitable city sites in the U.S., VEGAS.com, the official Vegas travel site, cited company data in reporting soaring sales increases for the first half of 2002.  From January to May of 2002, VEGAS.com grew hotel, air, package, tour, golf and show sales by 300% compared to the same time last year, while the overall city experienced a visitor decline of 2%.  By tripling sales overall, VEGAS.com catapults ahead of projections, without relying on heavy discounting as a business model.

“Significant sales increases show that being the stickiest site has tremendous value and that the VEGAS.com commitment to content translates into cash,” said VEGAS.com President, Howard Lefkowitz.

VEGAS.com`s success has significantly impacted its partners.  “VEGAS.com is the second-highest seller of America West Airlines (NYSE:  AWA) products and currently ranks in the top 10 for hotel sales through HRN (NASDAQ: ROOM), demonstrating the strength of our relationships and marketing capabilities,” said Howard Lefkowitz, president of VEGAS.com.

VEGAS.com impartially offers the entire city, including the Strip and beyond.  From all of Vegas` hotels including Park Place Entertainment (NYSE: PPE), The Venetian, Stratosphere, the Aladdin, MGM (NYSE: MGG) and Mandalay Bay (NYSE: MBG), to loads of attractions like Vegas show tickets, the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum, M&M World and Madame Tussaud`s, to tours of Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon, the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, hundreds of restaurants, a full entertainment calendar, spas, golf courses, nightlife, and more - VEGAS.com has information and inside tips for everything the city has to offer.

“We`re enmeshed in this city, and our roots run deep,” said Lefkowitz. The Greenspun Corporation, owner of VEGAS.com, is also the city`s largest publishing and real estate conglomerate. Renown for its 55-year dedication to the city, Greenspun includes publications The Las Vegas Sun, Las Vegas Weekly, ShowBiz Weekly, Las Vegas Life, InBusiness Las Vegas and VegasGolfer Magazine, as well as interests real estate, cable television and investments with businesses such as The Palms and Green Valley Ranch Station Casinos.
