Sabre Appoints Broom to Manage Airline Relationships

Sabre has appointed Hamish Broom director of European associate sales and service. 
Broom will be responsible for managing the company’s relationship with airlines and other travel and travel service providers in the region, and will head Sabre’s nine-strong European account management team.

Broom replaces Laura Lukan, who is taking up a position with Sabre in the United States.

He was most recently Sabre’s e-commerce and business development manager and was responsible, among other projects, for introducing to European corporate travel management companies Sabre’s Corporate.Res Internet self-booking tool for business travellers.

Chris Kroeger, Sabre’s senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said Broom would help ensure that the company continued to meet the specific requirements of its European airline, hotel, car hire and other travel-providing customers.


A New Zealander by birth, Broom now lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife and children.  He has been part of the Sabre team since graduating from the University of Birmingham in 1986, with an Honours degree in Social Science.  Previous responsibilities included servicing and developing Sabre’s travel agency client base throughout the UK and Ireland, and developing new processes and systems to help the company deliver maximum value to its customers.
