Solars Appoints New President

, a leading provider of business-to-business
information management and electronic distribution solutions for the travel
industry, announced today the promotion of Rick Ridding to President of the
Company, effective immediately.

Ridding succeeds Andrew O`Leary, who will continue to serve the Company as
CTO.  Ridding will assume the responsibilities of President of the Company
and continue his duties as Director of Business Development and Technology.
“Rick`s appointment as President is an important and exciting step in the
next stage of our Company`s growth and development,” said Frank Wells,
Chairman of Solars.
Mr. Ridding brings more than 18 years of software, data communication and
travel industry experience to the Solars team.  Prior to Mr. Ridding`s
tenure as Director of Business Development and Technology with Solars, he
held the position of Technology Director for the Canadian division of Sabre,
Inc., the leading provider of technology, distribution and marketing
services for the travel industry.  In that position, he was responsible for
liaising and consulting on technology issues and planning for some of Canada
`s top retail consortia, including American Express, Rider/BTI and Air Miles
(The Loyalty Group) in relation to Global Distribution System (GDS) business
solutions.  His responsibilities in evaluating new technologies and
e-commerce opportunities for the travel industry included major roles in
projects such as the design of Virtual Private Network WAN technology for
Sabre`s largest Canadian account and the integration of wireless
applications with RIM.  He was also heavily involved in integrating API
based initiatives with Internet entrepreneurs.  Prior to his position with
Sabre, Mr. Ridding was Manager/Director of EDI Comnet`s Travel Division,
overseeing, marketing and sales of web application software and data
communication network services to Canada`s largest leisure tour operators.
