and software solution provider OpenFares
have announced a new Marketing Alliance that will increase Net Fare content to the Travel Agent Desktop and expand agent accessibility to these fares over all the major GDS networks.

The alliance will also include a mutual development agreement, to further improve related content and application integration for the Travel Agent Desktop.
“Our goal is to seamlessly deliver as much preferentially priced travel content to the travel agent desktop as possible,” stated Rick Ridding, Solars` Director of Business Development and Technology. “The new era of zero agent commissions on scheduled airfares has dramatically enhanced the value of Net Fares to the travel agent. Our partnership with OpenFares gives us a distinct advantage in the Net Fare market segment, empowering the travel agent with ability to quickly make an intelligent fare choice from a broad and more diverse product source.”
