17th Sep 2002

NTL Business, a leading national and local provider of integrated business communications, has today announced the re-branding of X-TANT
as NTL Business (Travel Division).

The rebrand of X-TANT - provider of the travel industry`s leading reservations network and agency selling system Traveleye - is designed to position NTL Business (Travel Division) within NTL Business, and pave the way for it to become the travel industry`s leading supplier of selling and communication solutions.

NTL Business (Travel Division)`s enhanced product and services offering, including three new portfolios of communication solutions unveiled today, will create opportunities to cross-sell and upsell across X-TANT`s traditional base of travel agents, tour operators and leisure travel providers. Through its extended product range NTL Business (Travel Division) also intends to win customers across the industry, with business travel, hotel and transport among the sectors that will be targeted.

The three new product portfolios launched today are Traveltalk, Travelconnect and Travelcontact, which will deliver voice, telephony and call centre solutions to companies across the industry.

Traveltalk, the voice portfolio, offers a wide range of telephony solutions including outbound and inbound call services, call routing and audio conferencing. Travelconnect provides managed communications, including network design, high-speed internet access, and Local Area Network (LAN) solutions. Travelcontact delivers leading-edge call centre solutions, and responds to the growth in call centre operations across the industry.

David Osborne, Managing Director of Enterprise Sector, NTL Business, says: “Everyone in the travel industry, regardless of the nature of their operation, is looking to maximise productivity, rationalise their sources of supply and reduce and manage their cost of sale.”

He continues: “Working with multiple technology providers means you can be distracted from concentrating on your core competence, whether it`s buying or selling holidays or any other aspect of travel. It`s for these reasons that we`ve launched NTL Business (Travel Division), which we believe is perfectly placed to become the industry`s foremost technology provider.”
