GetThere, a leading provider of online corporate travel reservation systems, has announced an agreement with Travel Analytics, a leading strategic sourcing consultancy, to help corporations take the greatest advantage of their negotiated airline discounts when their employees book travel online.
Companies that use BRAVO(TM), Travel Analytics` airline contract monitoring software, can now automatically feed their contract preferences into the GetThere corporate online booking system, where preferred suppliers are displayed to travelers during the booking process. Under the agreement, Travel Analytics will also offer GetThere`s corporate customers a set of contract management services that range from a low-cost one-time contract prioritization, to ongoing web-based monitoring and strategic management of airline agreements.
“When corporate travelers are presented with complete information online they will often select lower-price travel options to help their company save money,” said Mark Orttung, vice president of Product Marketing at GetThere. “By linking GetThere`s and Travel Analytics` technology, corporations gain an automated way to import and display preferred suppliers in the online booking system, where employees can see which airlines will give their company the greatest savings.”
“GetThere already creates significant value by helping the corporate traveler choose the most economical fares, and by reducing agency transaction fees,” said Scott Gillespie, CEO of Travel Analytics. “Now, by connecting our strategic sourcing technology with GetThere`s ability to display the preferred suppliers at the point of sale, we can help travel managers do their best to fulfill their airline contracts - and capture even more savings.”
