Amadeus Appoints Frederic Spagnou VP Marketing

Global Travel Distribution, Global Distribution System (GDS) and travel industry technology provider,
today announced that Frederic Spagnou has been appointed to the new position
of Vice President, Marketing. 
In this new role, he will be responsible for
the company`s global marketing, communication, quality and customer support

Spagnou joins Amadeus from Gemplus International, the world`s leading
provider of smart card solutions, where he was Chief Operating Officer.  He
will now be based at the Amadeus headquarters in Madrid, Spain, although
spending a significant element of his time operating from the company`s
product marketing and development site in Sophia Antipolis (near Nice), in

A French citizen and graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole des
Arts et Metiers, Spagnou is married and has four children.
