From September, passengers on longhaul flights of the Austrian Airlines
Group have the possibility of booking a SIXT rental car online from their seat on Lauda Air Boeing 777 and Boeing 767.
The booking is made as on the Internet: The passenger chooses the category of car as well as the rental period via the interactive system and pays with credit card. Upon arrival at Vienna Airport the ordered car is ready to be picked up. As a further amenity, Lauda Air passengers who take advantage of this service receive a discount of 20 per cent.

Since last year passengers of the Austrian Airlines Group travelling on Lauda Air longhaul flights can already go shopping online with the interactive entertainment system. The online shopping portfolio includes books by bol.de, CDs and DVDs by CD-WOW, designer jewellery by Babette Wasserman, membership tickets for airport lounges at Priority Pass. Besides the possibility of booking a car with SIXT or ordering a taxi with the Viennese taxi company 31300, one can even make a donation to Amnesty International with the interactive system.

Within the next months the Austrian Airlines Group will enlarge their portfolio of online services onboard with additional travel-related items. Passengers on Lauda Air longhaul flights will soon have the possibility of booking hotels, restaurants or events already during their flight.
