Delta.com Sells Tickets to Canada-Based Customers


Delta Air Lines`
customers and travel agents in Canada now can purchase air travel at
delta.com. 
The enhancement enables customers with a Canada or United States
billing address to purchase tickets on delta.com for travel originating in
either country.  Canadian and U.S. travel agencies are now able to book and
purchase tickets for departures from Canada on behalf of their clients through
Delta`s Online Agency Service Center (OASC) at delta.com/travel-agency.
 
“Delta continues to focus on making travel easier for all of our
customers,” said Steve Scheper, Delta`s managing director of e-Business,
business-to-consumer.  “Now, customers flying out of Canada can take
advantage of the speed and convenience of delta.com.”
 
When logged onto delta.com, SkyMiles members view fares in the currency
correlating to their SkyMiles billing address.  This allows Canadian-based
SkyMiles members to see fares in Canadian dollars—regardless of flight
origination.  For customers who do not log in, fares for itineraries are
provided in the currency of the departure city.
 
Online customer support for Canada will be handled through Delta`s
customer support desks.
 
Canadian travel agents can use their International Air Transport
Association number to log onto Delta`s OASC and book published fares, Web
Fares, Fan Fares and other special offers available through the Internet for
their clients.  The OASC also provides fast, convenient access to
comprehensive information, including a travel agency handbook and other Delta
materials such as news releases, schedule changes, special offers and new
service announcements.
 
Delta.com puts customers in control with services and information that
increase convenience and efficiency in their travel experience—from desktop
to destination.  Ranked No. 1 in every category, including customer preference
and frequency of use in the Spring 2002 US Airlines Competitive Summary,
delta.com offers customers the ability to purchase, as well as other air
travel management services, the lowest fares and critical travel information.
At the site, customers can choose or change a seating assignment, view
estimated airport wait times and sign-up to receive flight status
notifications via e-mail or mobile device.  SkyMiles members can also check
in, print boarding passes, manage their SkyMiles account and redeem frequent
flier miles.  Research, stand-by and confirmation of upgrades are available
online to Medallion members.
