Opodo, the Pan-European online travel portal continues to build on its success, as booking figures for its newly launched online package holiday service increase by 12% in the space of one month.
The service, one of the first which allows consumers to book package holidays directly over the Internet, was launched in the UK (www.opodo.co.uk
) and Germany (www.opodo.de
) on July 12th. In conjunction with leading travel fulfilment and technology company DTS, the service offers customers thousands of great package holiday deals from all of the top tour operators. Online booking is available with a majority of the top tour operators including Airtours, Cosmos, First Choice, JMC and Thompson. Package holidays were introduced to compliment Opodo`s core offering of flights, hotels, car hire and insurance and to provide the consumer with a one-stop travel shop.
