The ClearCommerce Merchant Engine will consolidate payment solutions for ebookers?Emulti-sales channels ?Eincluding call centre and online ?Eand automate fraud checking on transactions.
“ebookers handles a large volume of transactions across a number of sales channels so it`s important we have a resilient and efficient central payment system,” explained Ian Carter, UK Managing Director of ebookers.com. “The ClearCommerce Engine will also allow us to set sophisticated rules to filter out fraud.”
Specialising in discount airfares, ebookers offers people the ability to book flights and compare prices from over 500 airlines. The company also offers packaged holidays, car hire, worldwide hotel booking and travel insurance.
The ClearCommerce Merchant Engine will be implemented in the summer of 2002 and subsequently rolled out across 11 European countries.
