Travelocity and American Airlines Launch New Relationship

Travelocity, the most popular travel site on the Web, today announced that it has reached a long- term marketing agreement with American Airlines, Inc., a subsidiary of AMR Corp. (NYSE: AMR).


Under the terms of the wide-reaching agreement, American
will provide Travelocity access to a broad offering of fares, including Web fares and vacation package fares, effective immediately.
To celebrate and promote these new fares, Travelocity
will launch new splash pages, banner ads, and email campaigns during the next several weeks. Additional exposure will come through partner sites AOL and Yahoo!
“Travelocity is a valuable partner for American Airlines,” says Craig Kreeger, vice president of Passenger Sales for American. “This enhanced relationship demonstrates American`s long-term commitment to have a solid presence in a channel in which many customers like to purchase airline tickets, while creating value for our shareholders by recognizing significant distribution cost savings.”
