Cheapflights.co.uk Hits a Million.

Cheapflights.co.uk
had its highest monthly increase ever in July 2002 - a record of one million unique users.
This is a 54 per cent increase on July 2001, when the site had 650,000 unique users and ranks Cheapflights.co.uk sixth in the UK`s 433 travel agent sites.

Cheapflight.co.uk`s rapid growth confirms the surge in consumers taking advantage of cheap flights found on the internet, and not just with the low cost airlines. As the figures suggest, Cheapflights.co.uk is the ideal resource for price comparisons on cheap flights (including low cost airlines), holiday packages, short breaks, business and first class flight deals.

Says David Soskin, chief executive officer Cheapflights.co.uk, “Cheapflights is delighted to announce the highest viewing figures to the site since the great British dotcom success story began six years ago. With the number of unique users now exceeding one million and the number of site advertisers now more than 400, Cheapflights.co.uk continues to go from strength to strength.”

He adds: “The burgeoning popularity of Cheapflights.co.uk is the result of satisfied viewers spreading the word so the site does not need to spend millions on advertising. By injecting profits back into the site, it can expand to offer the most comprehensive range of travel deals in one place.”

Its recently re-launched sister site Cheapnights.com has also achieved record figures for July 2002, ranking 34th among destination and accommodation sites. Like Cheapflights, Cheapnights
is generating a dedicated following by helping consumers to find the best hotel and accommodation deals in more than 500 destinations worldwide, as well as providing useful links and information for every aspect of travel.
