This deal is a part of a broader alliance between Leading Interactive Reservations, a joint venture company formed by The Leading Hotels of the World to accelerate their online initiatives, and TripleHop Technologies
, which could see TripleHop`s software installed on several other websites operated by Leading Interactive Reservations over the next few months.
TripleHop`s information retrieval and recommendation technology will enable lhw.com users to receive personalized recommendations of The Leading Hotels of the World properties which match their preferences. Once they select one of the recommendations, users will be able to immediately book online, since TripleHop`s recommendation software will be seamlessly integrated with The Leading Hotels of the World`s booking engine, provided by Pegasus Solutions
By matching website users most closely with the experience they seek, TripleHop`s recommendation software essentially acts as an online sales agent. Metrics collected on other TripleHop-powered Websites show that users who receive personalized recommendations from the TripleHop engine are between two and four times more likely to buy than other visitors on such Websites.
