Business travellers on the move can now leave their heavy laptops in the office or at home. For the first time in the UK, three London Hilton hotels will feature the new Hilton Powerdesk providing everything business executives need to work, relax and play.
The only sign of the computer when not in use is the slimline, moveable flat screen. The cordless mouse, keyboard and drives are inside the desk itself, leaving plenty of working space on the desk when they are in use. There is no unsightly jumble of wires and cables and the disk-drive is lockable for extra security.

Access to the Hilton Powerdesk is through a Smartcard, purchased at the hotel reception costing £15 for up to an hour and £30 for up to four hours use. Guests can use their own floppy disks or buy disks at the hotel, and can fax and e-mail their contacts around the world. Through PCC Powerdesk® they also have access to Microsoft Office, the Internet, games and shopping, CDs from the hotel library and via PCC Mall?, market information, entertainment, shopping and sport.

Members of Hilton HHonors, Amex, British Airways Executive Club, British Midland Diamond Club will be offered a free trial for up to 15 minutes.

The first Hilton Powerdesks are available in 43 business rooms at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport, 39 executive rooms at the London Hilton and 43 de luxe rooms at the Langham Hilton. The Hilton Powerdesk Smartcards can also be used at the Institute of Directors, where PCC Powerdesks® are also available to members.
