WorldTravel BTI has unveiled TravelAgent.com, a full-service online travel agency that was developed and is managed by a travel agency.
Developed by WorldTravel Interactive, a subsidiary of WorldTravel BTI, TravelAgent.com is geared toward companies with air spend of $2 million or less, or need a “lightly managed” solution.
“The marketplace is asking for low cost alternatives,” said Danny Hood, president of WorldTravel BTI. “There is definitely a need for TravelAgent.com.The tried and tested technology used for TravelAgent.com—WorldTravelNet and WorldTravel BTI`s Corporate Fulfillment Services (CFS)—gives us an advantage.”
“The key to this service is its simplicity,” explained Bill Niejadlik, senior vice president of WorldTravel Interactive. “It`s an agent in a box.”
“TravelAgent.com is not for everyone,” continued Niejadlik. “Companies who use the service will need to commit to booking online. Additionally, the self-service booking offers a safety net through experienced travel agents who are always available should travelers require additional support or emergency help.” TravelAgent.com will be offered to current WorldTravel BTI clients this September, and will be available to other companies soon after.
