nwa.com Puts The Power Of #1 Airline Website Just A “Click-Click-Click” Away

Consider the power of three: the third time’s a charm; three strikes; the three-point shot. Threes are powerful symbols in travel as well; Dorothy needed three clicks and a cool pair of shoes to get home to Kansas.

Today, Northwest Airlines takes the power of three to a new level with a redesign of its award-winning website, (www.nwa.com) that allows users to access nearly every feature on the site in three mouseclicks or less. Northwest is the first airline to use drop-down tabs, which show what information is contained in each section of the site without even going to that section.

“Our customers tell us they want simple navigation on our web site,” said Al Lenza, Northwest vice president distribution planning. “It has never been easier to check fares and availability, purchase tickets, look at flight status, join WorldClubs, book WorldPerks award travel and so much more.”

Other enhancements to NWA.Com include:
Online booking and purchasing is quick and easy with Northwest’s “Fast Trip Finder” and “Make a Reservation Now” link positioned front and center on the home page.
Northwest’s highly rated WorldPerks program is highlighted on the new home page with links for membership signup and account information. For customers’ enhanced security, Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) are now required to access WorldPerks accounts.
WorldPerks Account History is now available online. Customers can view their account summary for air and non-air miles earned on Northwest Airlines and its WorldPerks partners.
Enhanced search capabilities that make it easier to find specific information from any page of the site. Customers can simply type in a search word or phrase at the “Search” command to receive a list of appropriate links within the site.
Email registration is now available from the footer of every page on the site allowing customers easy access to register, unregister or update their email information with Northwest.

This recent nwa.com redesign was completed in cooperation with Northwest Airlines’ new Interactive Agency of Record, CyberSight (www.cybersight.com). CyberSight is a leading Internet professional services firm headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
